ABOUT US

The Colorful Books & Co. was created by Yaminah Cummings in December of 2020. Yaminah holds her Masters of Fine Arts in Media Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations & Communication. She wears many hats as the owner of Design360 & Photography and the Editor-In Chief of The Black Magazine.

She created The Colorful Books & Co. in honor of her growing nieces and nephews. There will be at least 3 books published each year. Each book written, will be co-authored by her now 11-year old niece, Amiia Dawson, soon to be 6-year old nephew Ronald Dawson, and the last book of the year will be by her soon to be 5-year old nephew, Jayce Dawson. All being published on or around their birthdays. 

Giving each one of her nieces and nephews a space to express themselves in a form of written art, and providing opportunity for their voice to be heard by the world.

A percentage of the proceeds from the book will go to their "higher education fund"
